Echelon’s mission is to promote the sport of competitive cycling for young men and women, as a means of encouraging a healthy lifestyle. To that end, the club provides coaching addressing proper training, safety, diet, and technique to children between the ages of 8-18.
The club has a history of producing extraordinary young athletes since 1984. Echelon riders have won state and national championships, competed in the Olympics, and raced at the professional level. This past year we’ve had exceptional results from our Junior Cycling Team, with Echelon rider Ruben Saatjian winning the State Championship and finishing 6th in Nationals on the track. Other riders have progressed in a single season from complete neophytes to being competitive in both road racing and on the mountain trails.
