Congratulations Mondo!!
Echelon Race Director, Armando Requejo received the Sportsman of the Month award from the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table on April 26. The award is given to recognize people like Mondo who volunteer their time to provide opportunities to others in the area of sports. At the awards ceremony, Joe Howell said, "Mondo truly represents what every successful community group, every successful sports organization needs...that is someone who works hard for the organiztion, is passionate about its purpose and is not concerned about getting credit."

Echelon Santa Barbara is a road bicycling club based in Santa Barbara, California. Echelon welcomes dedicated new riders and experienced racers, men and women, old or young, and all those who want to expand their cycling horizons. With a history our History in Santa Barbara bike racing since 1984, we are a USCF registered club whose goals are to:

• Encourage cyclists to become involved in competitive level training and racing.
• Promote bike races in the Santa Barbara area, road races, criteriums, and time trials.
• Motivate experienced riders stay involved and enjoy racing for fun, for health, and for life.
